Dear Turner Members,

Clinton Turners is hosting the NE DISTRICT Bowling Tournament 2009. It will take place on March 13, 14 and 15 at the Palace in Fitchburg. If you would like to learn more about bowling or volunteering for this event, come on down to Clinton Turners on Sunday, January 25th at 6PM for a Bowling Tournament meeting.

It is a Tournament where each society in the district bowls for Trophies, against each other. The three societies that participate are Adams-Clinton-Holyoke and we all bowl the same weekend. There are 4 possible events SINGLES-DOUBLES-MIXED DOUBLES-TEAMS. Each event is 3 strings, except Singles which is 5. You can choose to bowl in any or ALL events.

SINGLES is usually bowled on Friday or Saturday. Saturday we bowl DOUBLES. On Sunday we usually bowl MIXED and TEAMS depending on how much we get done the previous two days. I can give you more details, if you need them.

The reason for this email is EVERYONE is INVITED to participate or just come and cheer us on. You can sign up by emailing me or signing up at the club. I will need averages by FEB 6th. Averages must be from the year 2009.. If you haven't bowled in 2009, you will need to bowl 3 strings and provide your average. In order to bowl, you ALSO must have your 2009 Turner Membership DUES PAID IN FULL. If you know of someone interested that is not a member, please sponser them to become a Turner member ASAP.

We will need lots of VOLUNTEERS to help make this tournament a success. Volunteers are needed to keep score, review scores, designated drivers to drive folks back to the hotel at night and to help organize the event. Please sign up to volunteer at the club or contact me.

25 deluxe rooms: one king bed and a pull out full size couch. All rooms are non smoking but folks can smoke outside or under a pavillon area. The rate is $110.00 for 1-4 people. Please mention Turner Bowling Tournament when making your reservations.
